Terms of Service

To commission Star Tiger Suits, you must agree to and abide by the following terms and regulations.

Ordering & Payment

  • To be considered for a fursuit slot, you must fill out the Commission Application form. This Form will be available both on this site and our social media pages when we are open for new orders.

  • Price Quotes can be requested year-round, even when we are not taking new commissions. This can be done through the Quote Request Form, which can be found at the bottom of the ‘Commission Info’ section of our website.

  • Filling out the Commission Application Form does not guarantee a spot in the Queue. Once the Form closes, each client will receive a decision via Email. Commission decisions will be sent out to every applicant on an assigned day after we have decided which projects to accept into the Queue.

  • Applicants must provide an up-to-date reference sheet of their character alongside the completed Commission Applicant Form to be considered for a spot in the Queue.

  • Upon receiving a spot in the Queue, clients will have 48 hours to secure their slot with a 35% non-refundable down payment. This is to ensure client commitment and to purchase materials for the project. 

  • Payment plans may be arranged on a case-by-case basis. If you are interested in commissioning Star Tiger Suits through a payment plan, payments of a minimum of $300 must be made per month.

  • The cost of shipping must be covered by the customer. Once a commission is completed, a shipping quote will be sent via Email. Payment must be completed before the item can be mailed out. Shipping will include tracking and insurance.

  • As the customer, please ensure that you are financially stable before filling out the Commission Applicant Form. Star Tiger Suits opens multiple times a year, so there are multiple opportunities to commission us.

  • Payment is to be made through Square only. We do not take payment through PayPal.

  • Star Tiger Suits reserves the right to refuse a commission for any reason.

 

Refunds

  • Customers have the right to request a refund at certain points in the commission process, with a few exceptions. Depending on the progress of the project, a partial refund will be provided.

  • If your commission has not been started, a full refund, excluding the 35% down payment, will be granted.

  • If the project is in-progress, a partial refund of anywhere between 25%-75% of the commission cost will be granted, excluding the 35% down payment, according to how much work has been completed.

  • When requesting a refund, be aware that you will not receive the product, regardless of how much work has been done.

  • Once the commission has been completed, clients cannot request a refund.

  • Star Tiger Suits reserves the right to alter, redesign, and resell a project that has been canceled by the customer and refunded. 

  • Star Tiger Suits also reserves the right to cancel and refund a commission for any reason, including but not limited to unacceptable behavior, discrimination, inappropriate advances, poor communication, etc.

 

Work in Progress & Completion

  • Although Star Tiger Suits will provide work-in-progress (WIP) photos throughout the commission process, clients have the right to request progress updates at any time. 

  • Text updates will also be communicated frequently.

  • WIP photos and updates can be sent through Email, Twitter, Instagram, or Telegram depending on customer preference. 

  • Star Tiger Suits reserves the right to post WIP photos to our social media pages and gallery. If a client is uncomfortable with this, arrangements for no public posts may be made.

  • Commissions are completed in the order that they are received. 

  • No progress, excluding the purchase of materials, will be made until full payment is completed.

  • Star Tiger Suits does not work with deadlines. Due to our fluid schedule, it is difficult to predict how much time a given project will take.

  • The Queue, and therefore progress on each commission, can be viewed via our Trello page. A link to the Queue can be found on the ‘Commission Info’ page.

  • Due to our fluid schedule, commission completion times vary. Typically, they can be finished within a couple months, but this may change depending on our outside schedule.

 

Warranty

  • Star Tiger Suits provides a six month warranty to all commissions. Repairs to any damages will be made free of charge, excluding purposeful alterations made by the customer. 

  • Although the repairs will be free of charge, the customer must pay to ship the product to our studio.

  • Repairs outside of the six month window may still be completed, but they will be considered additional commissions and must be paid for.

  • Paid repairs may be arranged on a case-by-case basis, and a Quote will be provided.

Age

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to commission Star Tiger Suits

  • Minors of at least 16 years of age may commission Star Tiger Suits, but consent by a legal guardian must be provided, and payment must be made through the legal guardian.

  • Clients will be asked to provide proof of age via ID.

Style

  • Star Tiger Suits creates projects in our own unique style. If our work is not what you are looking for, please do not commission us. We will not alter our style to better match another Maker’s technique.

  • We will not make fursuits of copyrighted characters. This includes characters from media such as Pokémon, My Little Pony, etc.

  • We do not offer muscle, breast, or any additional padding to our suits, excluding digitigrade leg padding.

  • We do not work with resin, LEDs, silicon, etc. If you have any questions regarding what materials we will and will not work with, you may contact us.

Violation of the Terms of Service will result in cancellation and refund of the commission.
